Alright, so here's Kitty. You all know her, right?
Well, I decided to make her in Sonic Forces, a while ago.
So recently, I've been watching a lot of old cartoons and started thinking:
"I should design her as a Teeny Bopper look, at least in the begining."
"I should design her as a Teeny Bopper look, at least in the begining."
Here's how that goes:
Step 1: Use mods to create character in Sonic Forces. Just for fun.
Mods Used:
-
Step 2: Decide I want to make an Instagram video and show the character to the world.
Step 2B: Have Steam randomly decide to delete my game file and have to start all over again with limited costume items. Make the most of it.
-
Step 3: Like the overall idea enough to do a drawing of it.
-
Step 4: The drawing looks like garbage, the game model was so cute. Why isn't this working?
SO, return to the game model and trace over it, making stylistic changes where necessary, to get the right look.
-
Step 5: Now you're getting the idea, right. Just for good measure Check out images of Hanna-Barbera Characters and end up using Judy Jetson to perfect the stance and some of the anatomical designs, like hands.
-
Step 7: Not the finished product, because I'm a perfectionist freakazoid and I can't let things go.
Return to the game model again, to perfect the minute details and turn the test drawing into the actual illustration. Sorry, Judy, you're out of a job, but I did learn a thing or two, which will still end up in the final product.
Step 7B: While I'm in there, finally figure out how to put a ponytail on a cat.
-Step 8: She's adorable. NOW, present the real finished product...
for now...
